everything you might be wondering.

what is bea?
bea is a daily reflection app. every evening she asks you one question. you answer it. over time she builds a picture of who you are and reflects it back to you.
how is this different from journaling?
a blank page asks too much. bea asks one thing — a specific, thoughtful question designed to open something without overwhelming you. most people who've tried journaling and failed find bea actually sticks.
what kind of questions does bea ask?
questions like “what's still sitting with you from today?” or “how were the people in your life today?” — specific enough to give you a handhold, open enough to go anywhere. they rotate through seven dimensions: emotions, behavior, relationships, values, self-compassion, growth, and gratitude.
how long does it take?
two minutes. sometimes less. bea asks one question — there's no word count, no pressure, no right answer. write one sentence or ten paragraphs. both count.
what is the monthly letter?
on the first of every month, bea writes you a personal letter. she's read everything you wrote that month and noticed something specific — something you probably didn't say out loud to anyone. it arrives as a glowing envelope on your home screen.
what is the yearly recap?
once a year, bea generates a beautiful recap of who you were that year — your year word, your patterns, a personal letter from the whole year, and a shareable image. think Spotify Wrapped, but for your inner life.
is my data private?
your journal entries live on your device. they are never uploaded to a server or database. the only time your entries leave your device is when you use AI features — and only to generate your letter or recap, never stored.
does bea use AI?
yes. the monthly letters and yearly recaps are generated by Claude, Anthropic's AI. your entries are sent securely to generate these features and are not retained afterward.
what does it cost?
$4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. both include a 7-day free trial. cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings.
is there a free version?
no. bea is a fully paid app after the trial. we chose this deliberately — no ads, no data selling, no freemium limitations. your subscription is what keeps bea alive and independent.
what if i miss a day?
nothing bad happens. bea will be there the next evening. consistency matters more than perfection — bea is designed to be forgiving, not punishing.
is bea a therapy app?
no. bea is a self-awareness tool. she asks good questions and notices patterns. she is not a substitute for professional mental health care. if you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional.
what iPhone do i need?
bea requires iOS 17 or later. compatible with all iPhone models that support iOS 17.
will bea come to Android?
not currently. bea is iOS only for now.
